Rango a castigat trofeul pentru Cel mai bun film de animatie, Cel mai bun scenariu, Cel mai bun design al personajelor si Cel mai bun montaj. La categoria Cel mai bun film de animatie, Rango a concurat cu A Cat in Paris, Arrugas, Arthur Christmas, Cars 2, Chico & Rita, Kung Fu Panda 2, Puss in Boots, Rio si The Adventures of Tintin.
Rango este nominalizat si la premiile Oscar 2012, la categoria Cel mai bun film de animatie, alaturi de A Cat in Paris, Chico & Rita, Kung Fu Panda 2 si Puss in Boots.
